UPDATE: The search for the missing 8 month old and his mother has ended. They have been located and are safe. The baby's father has confirmed in a Facebook post that they have been found and that authorities are taking "appropriate measures." A witness tells Durand Now they were located in Portland, Michigan, west of Lansing.
Jason Surprenant, a Durand alum, is asking friends on Facebook to pray that all is well with Jessica Lynn Higgins, also a Durand alum, and their 8 month old son, Jace. He said Jessica and Jace left sometime Sunday morning and were last seen in a 2005 Black Denali. The plate on that Denali is Michigan-DTL4922. The Clinton County Sheriff's Office says they were last seen along Herbison Road in Eagle, and is asking anyone that may have seen the mother and son, or the vehicle they were traveling in, to call 911 right away. Jason's Facebook post indicates Jessica's phone was last pinged in Ionia County, near Tupper Lake Road.
